Iran doc adorned with award once more; UK this time

'Weavers of Imagination' is still on a roll, bagging one more accolade at the Derby Film Festival in the UK.

Directed by Mohammad-Sadegh Jafari, the doc won the best short documentary of the 2018 edition of the event, competing with 50 other films.

Jafari's documentary tells the story of a number of blind people who devise a Braille plan for their carpet weaving.

It also depicts the good relationship and happy moments that they have when they get together.

The documentary has succeeded to receive Best Documentary awards from the 1st Lifft India World Festival held in India, the Cardiff International Film Festival in the UK, and the grand prix at the 4th International Documentary Film Festival and Transmedia in Portugal.

Derby Film Festival is one of the leading regional film festivals in the UK.

Bringing together film fans, filmmakers and industry figures, the festival hosts many movies from around the world every year.

The 2018 edition of the event took place on May 4-13, 2018.
